It’s Monday… What’s the news in your corner of the world?
October 6, 2008
Happy Monday! (Now that’s two words you don’t see together very often!) My Monday is being spent at the allvoices offices in San Francisco. It makes me wonder how all of you are spending your Monday’s? Are you planning an exciting week? Do you have lots of news to report? Are you looking forward to the rest of the year or dreading it?
I have two important things to report from the incentive program:
- allvoices member Tangerine has gone over 200,000 page views. Tangerine was our first member to earn a check from the incentive plan. He is now the first person to get TWO checks as well. (OKĀ He will be the first person to get two checks. It is in process right now.)
- allvoices member OnlineBusinessWoman is about to go over 100,000 page views. Once she gets there, the process for her check will be be started as well.
It makes me wonder… How are your page views coming? Do you want more hints on how to get more views? The best way to get views is to write interesting stuff, write good stuff, and be sure that you add images and media to your news. The more you can do to get people interested in your news, the more they will want to share it with the rest of the world.
For the Flip giveaways, we have a couple of people close to the number of referals for a Flip. I would have like to to have given these away much faster, but we are getting there!
Our next big push will be news about the US elections. What are the elections that matter to you? I know that the presidential elections matter to much of the world, but I am wondering what local issues matter to you as well. What initiatives and local offices grab your heart? What do you think are the big issues in next month’s elections?
If you aren’t in the US, what issues that we are voting on here matter to you? Do the bailouts affect out how you see the US? Do you think either of the candidates will change how you view the US? What local political events in your area will change the world?
As the election season runs down, our next big push will be the end of year holidays. What are the gifts you want to get and give? Know of a product that you think everyone will want? Let the world know what it is and why they should care. What do you think will be the toy of the season for kids and for big kids? Will the world economy affect how you spend the rest of the year? Tell us!
All in all, I am a happy camper this Monday morning. I am hoping that things are looking up in your corner of the world and that the rest of the year will be full of interesting news that you can share on allvoices.

Good Monday to you too Kathy!! I had to answer one question you asked – “are you planning on an exciting week” Gal, I ALWAYS plan on an exciting week!! haha… I don’t always GET one, but I plan for it. Let me tell you about the BEST book in the world that I got not long ago that makes me more happy to see Mondays. It’s called “What happy Women Know” by Dan Baker and Cathy Greenberg (no, I don’t get commission on sales LOL). This book is amazing! Unlike other self-help types, this one is down to earth and really spoke to me in a way that made sense, AND made me want to implement principles of happiness into my life.
SO, now I love Mondays, go figure
But my next book is “The Now Habit, A strategic program for overcoming procrastination and enjoying guilt-free play” I’m not sure I’ll love anything after I read this one LOL But hopefully it will be just as good.
So Happy Monday again (please don’t shoot me for smiling, I know how annoying overly happy people can be LOL). Have a marvelous week!
