allvoices will be at PodCampAZ
October 27, 2008
This weekend, November 1st and 2nd, Tempe AZ is the place to be! Why? Because that is the site of PodCampAZ 2008.
What is PodCampAZ? Only the best unconference you will ever attend! Ok – that may be going a bit overboard, but not by much. PodCampAZ2008 is the second podcamp to be done here in AZ. Last year, under 100 people registered and over 250 showed up. This year, we have over 300 registered already. We think we might hit 500 attending.
Speakers will include Chris Pirillo, iJustime, Francine Hardaway, and many others. Including: Kathy Jacobs, allvoices community guru. Yes,yours truly will be there. I am speaking twice. The first time is on a topic of interest to all members of the allvoices community: Citizen Media: Keeping it relevant. That session is one of the choices Saturday morning during the first session. Want to know who else is speaking? Check this out:
If you are more of a text person, you can find the complete schedule on the PodCampAZ site.
In addition to the speakers, there will also be vendor tables set up, podcasts all day long, a live Twitter feed, live streaming, prizes, and much much more.
In addition, there will be people live reporting from the event on allvoices. If you want to find the coverage on the site about the event, search for podcampaz- you will find videos, stories, pictures, and comments.
What else do you need to know…. Oh – Did I mention that the event doesn’t cost anything? If you want a shirt or a goodie bag, you need to pay a small amount. But if you just want to attend and meet everyone, the event is free! If you are going to be there, let me know – I would love to talk about allvoices, community journalism, community media, or just about anything else you want to talk about!
See you there!
